Sunday!

First I have to say this.... HE IS RISEN!  HE IS RISEN INDEED!

There I feel so much better! It's Easter today and I would not be doing what I'm doing if I hadn't been giving these great "Gifts" or " Talents"  by someone. And yes I may have learned from people how to do these things , But To be a natural as it were, to pick up that idea and run with it to create the way most people do it has to be given to you by some one.

I choose this out of Jessie's Photos and posted it on  the page on good Friday
No I don't preach and or get pushy with my beliefs but I had about enough "earth day " this week.  Friday was Good Friday to me and always will be and it won't change to those  that get it I salute you!

Monday! Taxes and Bags

It's Monday. There are days that If I didn't know Sunday was yesterday I wouldn't know that it was Monday.

They all start to look alike . Get up, get dressed. Throw laundry in washer (or take out)   eat breakfast, read email answer post on Facebook. ... (Any thing sound like familiar to your routine yet!)
and depend on day and week get to sewing! Last week church quilting 2 days this week finishing up bags and a quilt I was working on for sale.

Than the Taxes! Business taxes were done in January. That's just how we have it set up and after having the Hubby say those words "we All get to here from our man about it) That "they aren't sending the forms out" and "you have to go online" and They " didn't send you a card".... He got them done. And  He got the personal taxes done the first of the month. I was not like the daughters who kept "riding him like (his words not mine) Like a dirty diaper!" to get them done earlier. He did get theirs don in February.

Well Taxes are Done and we got the state refund the other day.. and Monday is almost  done And I got the bags finished that need to be along with the quilt! Now if I could just get the sunlite to cooperate and stay out till 9m then I get photos done... Well that ain't going to happen so I will have to get photo tomorrow and post on my Facebook for thpse who are interested.

Tomorrow Rearrange furniture in basement to fit the new dinning table in kitchen!  It makes since to me and that's all that matters. I also hope to gett some more fabric ready for purses tomorrow also. Have a great week!

Week Review

Yikes! Where did the week go?

It's been a very busy week this week for me. Monday and Tuesday was quilting at church with the ladies!
The ladies who range in age (not counting me) from about 62 up to 93! They are an entertaining group.
Wednesday was catch up with laundry and some sewing.

Than it was Resale Shop on Thursday. Normally I volunteer twice a month only this month had 5 weeks in it sooo...I did an extra day. And dinner out. I was so tired, feet mostly  from standing on concrete for 3 days in the same pair of shoes and not knowing were my other pair of tennis shoes were. Til my husband came home and point them out it in the bathroom closest where I put them Sunday Night! (Ooops!)

So today, ... today was errand day. Running and doing things that didn't get done the last 4 days.
I am hoping to get thing posted and up soon with the 2 purses I finished! I'm really pleased with how they've turned out and am rolling another design idea around the brain.  This is what Happens from having a hot bath 4 night in a row, the brain goes into overtime in designs while soaking! Well see you Next time!

Schedula

Well for the last month I've been posting and writing and studying How to set up my Fan Page on Facebook better. I still haven't got it quite there yet!

I am the eternal optimist , at least that's how the Husband sees me. With all the new things that Facebook has come out with I am trying to keep up and feel like I'm not sewing enough. I need to refocus !Well I need to start scheduling time  for everything and starting today!

So twice a week I will be posting the blog, I've been trying to do that now.  And will try to post once a day on Holsom Heart Designs Fan Page. I have collected a large quantity of material that I need to get through and organize. Not to mention the normal run of the house!

I would love to hear from you and comments are always welcomed bad or good! It's the only way I know How I'm doing!

Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month

Did you know March is Cerebral palsy Awareness Month?

Better question is Do you care that it is?

To answer the first question. No I didn't know it was until reading the blog of  a friend. But I am  Glad to know that!

To answer the second question. Yes I do care, because of this friend's son has has it. She Has a Wonder blog called " Henry's Heroes" which explains what it is!http://henrysheroes.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

I found this article fascinating. If you haven't yet read it, READ IT! I was amazed at the information and different types that there are. It's almost like people, no two are exactly alike. There are similar things that they may share but everyone is different. At least that what I came away with.

The actual definition  of Cerebral Palsy is  it is a type of brain injury. It is actually a group of symptoms which commonly occur in a particular pattern of brain injury. When those symptoms come together, it is call it cerebral palsy.   (I took this definition  from the blog)

The other thing I came a way with after reading this is  that The parent of these children are or have to be amazing. What they go through day to day. If you think it's hard getting your child who is capable of dressing and feeding themselves, get up and ready to go somewhere. Think of a parent that has to do it for their child. There, and not infant or toddler, but teen or even adult.  I have a total admiration for the strength  of these parents!

I was in to the Culver's by us shortly after reading this with my husband for dinner. I watched as a mother feed her son the custard ( It's  frozen custard and not Ice Cream at Culver's!) Smiling and thinking of my friend.  You see the mother was older than me and the son was in a wheel chair holding his cup and about my age, maybe a little younger.  She took care wiping his face. Getting his jacket on and then her and his father left with him.  Life doesn't end  you just need to make adjustments!

I guess where I'm going with this is if you have the chance to help make a difference in someone life do it Help them any way you can! That's what I trying to do!

Family

When I decided to go with having my own domain, I thought that eventually it could be come a "Family" business.

Well With all the talent that has been inherited  by this family I figured that I would help by encouraging it. That and student loans need money to pay them back. So I told my one daughter I would try selling some of her art work. While some of the pieces seem to have a dark theme to them, a lot of it had to do with what ever mood she was going through at the time. Many people that have seen them in person are amazed how talented she is.

At some point I hope to have her get some of her black and white photos up. They are awesome.

I also would love to get our youngest doing some work. She did some of the neatest gifts for Christmas this year out of polymer clay. You know if you can tell that it's suppose to be Dad's car and even he can tell it's good!

She did names up for her boy-friends family and had some of the cutest thing added to them .Like a black and white scarf and holstein cow to his uncles name and rose and ribbon to his aunt's. Her most channeling  was his mom's cardinal that turned out great!

I have been selling items done by my sister for years and will continue too, She does a lot of the knitting, and I hope to at some point even get the Hubby involved, other than doing my taxes!

Til then take a look on the art side!
